Words on a page are unexciting,

You can't put a broken heart in writing,

So tears from my inkwell are pleading with you,

While I watch mem'ries go by in review,

Love still may burn within you,

Love you can't discontinue,

Please tell me that, when you reply

And tears from my inkwell soon will dry.
