Sometimes in my life

I have been alone

Invisible in a crowd of people

A stranger in my own home

At times it felt there was nothing left

No-one who could understand

No reason to keep on going

Nobody to hold my hand

But amidst the darkness and pain

There was a distant glimmer of hope

Something that caused me to believe again

And learn it was possible to cope

A thing I had never counted on

My friends supporting me

Helping me when I needed it most

Teaching me not to cave in or flee

Now the suns everlasting rays of hope
